Alder & Sound was a provider of financial and tax due diligence for Pihlajalinna Plc and its subsidiary Pihlajalinna Terveys Oy in the acquisition of Kymijoen Työterveys Oy from the city of Kotka.

Kymijoen Työterveys is the largest occupational health service provider in Kymenlaakso. Kymijoen Työterveys has approximately 1,500 customer companies with nearly 24,000 employees. Kymijoen Työterveys has approximately 90 employees. These employees will work in Pihlajalinna’s service under existing employment agreement terms. Furthermore, Pihlajalinna has agreed to grant the employees protection against dismissal for two years. Kymijoen Työterveys has clinics in Kouvola, Kotka, Karhula and Hamina. Furthermore, the company has an occupational health care clinic in the Miehikkälä and Vironlahti health centres.
